LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE - ST. ALBANS 111-20 Merrick Blvd. St. Albans, NY 11433 (Mon - Friday 10:30 am - 7:00 pm & every other Saturday) The Department of Ambulatory Care at Jamaica Hospita l provides patients with a wide array of primary and specialty care in an outpatient setting. Our St. Albans MediSys Family Care Center offers a vast array of general and specialized medical services and procedures, including: Breast Surgery, Dental, Family Medicine, General Surgery, Gynecology, Lupus Center, Neurology , Ophthalmology, Pediatrics, Podiatry, Rheumatology and more. We are proud of our uncompromising commitment and approach in providing the highest levels of professional, compassionate care to the many culturally diverse, undeserved patients and residents we serve. We are currently seeking Licensed Practical Nurses with current or recent outpatient / ambulatory care experience for immediate full-time opportunities. RESPONSIBILITIES: Selected candidates will administer care to patients of all ages, gender, and ailments. Duties will include: Assisting Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners, RNs, and other members of the health care team with triaging and rooming patients. Document nursing observations, interventions, and patient's response to treatment. Perform vital signs, administer medications, perform electrocardiograms and assist with scheduling appointments when needed. Collect specimens and performing phlebotomy for lab tests. Collect and perform Point of care testing (POCT). Review and maintain vaccine documentation. Tagged as: lpm. outpatient Requirements Graduate of accredited school for licensed practical nursing NYS Licensed Practical Nurse Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification Minimum of one (1) year of clinical experience, in an ambulatory care setting Must have experience working with pediatric, adolescent & adult populations. Must be available to work alternate weekends SALARY: $36.97/hr. - $43.05/hr. DOE
