Description We are hiring a Rebate Analyst based in Allegan, MI. The Rebate Analyst is responsible for determining payment amounts for complicated customer sales programs including direct and indirect rebates, billbacks, administrative fees, fee-for-service payments, floor-stock-adjustments, volume incentive rebates, guaranteed supply and service level penalties, and various promotions. Such payments total over $200M annually. The incumbent will use a variety of tools including contract documents, SAP queries, BW reports, and Vistex calculations in determining the proper amount for each payment. Works directly with external customers to dispute customer claims and deductions. This position is eligible for a hybrid workplace arrangement of three days per week in the Allegan office and two days per week remote work. Job duties: Determine payment amounts for numerous complicated customer sales programs including, direct and indirect rebates, billbacks, administrative fees, fee-for-service payments, floor-stock-adjustments, volume incentive rebates, guaranteed supply and service level penalties. Work directly with external customers to dispute unreasonable or inaccurate claims. Complete required paperwork to ensure timely payment of sales programs and to ensure SOX compliance. Analyze customer audit claims for historical rebate programs, either validating the claims and issuing additional payments or disputing such claims directly with the external customer. Work closely with Padagis's Accounts Receivable department to resolve issues, including unauthorized deductions taken by customers and other disputed claims. Manage estimates for unpaid sales programs to ensure financial liability for such programs are recorded appropriately and in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and Padagis Policies. Research and resolve any discrepancies uncovered during the monthly reconciliation of the BW sales reporting system to the general ledger. Prepare standard reports for the sales team and senior management to use for customer meetings and conferences. Required qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in accounting, finance, or closely related discipline combined with at least 4-6 years professional experience or an Associate's Degree combined with 8-10 years of professional pharmaceutical experience. Applicants must possess strong technical, analytical, and communication skills. Strong computer proficiency with advanced knowledge of Excel. Ability to build relationships with external customers to professionally dispute customer claims. Accuracy and attention to detail. Preferred qualifications: Experience in the prescription pharmaceutical or similar industry, specifically in customer rebates, promotions, or chargebacks. Familiarity with SAP queries, Business Warehouse, and Vistex.
