Job Description Role and Responsibilities Overview PartnerRe Capital Management ("PRCM") is the third-party capital arm of PartnerRe, engaging with institutional investors through three main investment channels: sidecars, funds and collateralized quota share. The Chief Operating Officer is a critical role and we are therefore looking for an experienced practitioner who is able to enhance and maintain a best practice investment management operating platform. Working closely with internal support units and external service providers, the successful candidate will be responsible for the financial reporting, operational workflows and treasury functions of PRCM ensuring investors receive a high-quality operational service. Key responsibilities include: Primary responsibility for valuation of interests in third party investment vehicles. Responsible for timely and accurate financial and regulatory reporting for all investment vehicles. Monitor and manage collateral accounts, cashflows and investments. Manage and monitor third party service provider relationships, in particular the fund administrator, insurance manager, trust banks, corporate banks and valuations service providers. Work closely with internal PartnerRe stakeholders incl. Retro Finance, Retro Operations, Reserving, Internal Audit and Enterprise Risk. Manage external audits as required for each investment vehicle. Operationalizing investor mandates, incl. mandate compliance controls. Working closely with Legal & Compliance, ensure operational processes are compliant with relevant regulations and guidance. Reporting and forecasting to internal stakeholders on financial performance and capital position of PRCM. Participate on and contribute materials for investor presentations, pitches and operational due diligence processes. Qualifications Qualifications and Education Requirements: Tertiary qualification in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or similar field. Chartered Accountant designation strongly preferred. Experience: +10 years' proven experience working in a finance and operations role within a third party capital/ceded reinsurance unit of a reinsurance company or ILS manager/service provider. Reinsurance and sidecar experience a must with funds experience strongly preferred. Professional Attributes: Demonstrated understanding of institutional investor grade operations and industry best practices. Demonstrated ability to implement repeatable and robust processes for efficiency and scalability of business. Ability to handle multiple assignments, stakeholders and deadlines. Personal Attributes: Process and detail oriented but ability to adapt to broader context. Strong interpersonal skills & effective communicator (written and oral). Demonstrated analytical, problem-identification and resolution skills. High degree of personal competence (self-awareness, self-management).
