The NISC IV program at Leidos is seeking an Airspace/Aviation Analyst to work in the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Anchorage TRACON (A11) in Anchorage, Alaska. The candidate will provide support in the review of proposed airspace changes and impacts to the National Airspace System (NAS). Routine Duties Will Include: Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) by analyzing impacts to current uses of the NAS from proposed airspace changes in Anchorage TRACON Airspace. Assist Anchorage TRACON with development of an integrated method for movement of air traffic in Anchorage Terminal Airspace. Prepare Draft Letters of Agreement (LOA), Letters of Procedure (LOP) and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP) between affected Air Traffic facilities. Assist in development of requirements for Automation updates to accommodate proposed changes to Airspace procedures. Assist in development of requirements for Communications equipment and Information Display Equipment (IDS). Provide recommendations for workload divisions with new Air Traffic Control positions and Sectors. Assist in development of Airspace training scenarios. Prepare Briefing Presentations for Senior FAA and USAF Management. Position requires approximately 25% travel. Required Qualifications: Previous designation as a Certified Professional Controller (CPC) with Terminal and/or TRACON experience. Requires BS degree and 8+ years of prior relevant experience OR Masters with 6+ years of prior relevant experience. Additional years of relevant experience may be considered/accepted in lieu of degree. Ability to obtain a Public Trust Security Clearance Suitability (To be eligible for Public Trust Security Clearance, one must be either a U.S. Citizen OR a U.S. Permanent Resident/Green Card holder who has resided in the U.S.A for the past 3 years of the past 5 years consecutively with no breaks). Desired Qualifications: Experience with Terminal Area Route Generation and Traffic Simulator (TARGETS). Experience with ATCoach Radar Simulator.
