Overview: TRC Advanced Energy (TRC) is a nationally known energy efficiency consultancy. TRC is looking for an experienced Associate Director to manage a portfolio of Demand Response (DR) programs in the Central US. This role will have ultimate responsibility for the continuous care and satisfaction of multiple utility clients throughout the center of the country. TRC currently serves as the implementer across several DR programs for both residential and non-residential customers. The ideal candidate will have experience with design, implementing, and managing residential and non-residential DR programs. This will include program, process, client and employee management. There is a preference for a candidate being located in the Central or Eastern Time Zone. This role will be expected to travel to Kansas City, MO up to 25% of the time. Responsibilities: The Associate Director - Demand Response Program will have direct responsibility for all aspects of delivery across the portfolio. The program staff consists of marketing staff for increased program awareness, outreach staff utilized to create direct program relationships in the field and operational staff who manages program from enrollment through settlement and reporting. The program manager will also interface with corporate functional support groups including finance, HR, IT and program design support. The program manager is responsible for the achievement of all client goals and strict budget adherence in an effort to satisfy all internal revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction metrics. Directs the work of all staff assigned to the programs and mentors/motivates staff to excel and develop to their full potential. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection, training and development, performance assessment, work assignments, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Responsible for cost, schedule and technical performance of programs. Participates in the negotiation of contracts and contract changes. Acts as primary point of customer contact for program activities, leads program review sessions with customer to discuss cost, schedule, and technical performance. Develops new business or expands current offering with existing customers.
