Financial Management & Reporting: Oversee all financial operations, ensuring accurate and timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. Deliver detailed financial analysis to senior leadership and external stakeholders, adhering to accounting standards and regulations. Provide recommendations to support strategic decision-making and long-term planning. 2. Project Financial Oversight: Collaborate closely with project managers to ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule. Lead budgeting efforts for both new and ongoing projects, including cost forecasting and variance analysis. Monitor project financial performance, providing guidance on cost control, procurement strategies, and change order management. Review and approve contractor invoices and change orders, ensuring compliance with project budgets and contracts. 3. Cash Flow & Liquidity Management: Manage and optimize cash flow to ensure liquidity for project funding and operational needs. Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes to ensure timely payments and collections. Implement strategies to manage working capital and maintain a healthy cash flow across multiple projects. 4. Strategic Financial Planning & Business Insights: Partner with the executive team to develop and implement long-term financial strategies aligned with company growth goals. Lead financial evaluations of new business opportunities, assessing project feasibility, profitability, and risk. Contribute to financial forecasting and strategic planning to improve financial performance and operational efficiencies. 5. Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management: Ensure compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local tax regulations, as well as accounting standards. Work with auditors during year-end audits to ensure the accuracy and completeness of financial records. Establish and maintain internal controls to protect company assets and mitigate financial risks. 6. Leadership & Team Development: Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a collaborative and solution-oriented culture. Mentor team members, providing the guidance and resources needed for professional growth. Act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, helping to drive the company's strategic financial direction. The Successful Applicant Education & Credentials: A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A CPA designation is highly preferred, and a Master's degree or MBA is a plus. Experience: 7+ years of experience in accounting and finance, including at least 3 years in a leadership role. In-depth experience in construction accounting, project-based financial management, and budgeting. Previous experience working within a general contractor or construction management firm is strongly preferred. Skills & Competencies: Strong understanding of construction industry financials, including job costing, contract management, and cost control. Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, Viewpoint, Buildertrend) and advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the capacity to provide actionable insights from financial data. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present complex financial information to both financial and non-financial stakeholders. High attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy and compliance with financial regulations. Proven leadership abilities with a focus on team development and cross-functional collaboration.
