The Staff Accountant will play a critical role in managing financial records, preparing reports, managing accounts payable and receivable and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of financial transactions. This individual will work closely with vendors, project managers, and our accounting team to support the day-to-day operations and contribute to the company's overall financial health. Key Responsibilities Process accounts payable invoices, ensuring accuracy, proper coding, and alignment with company policies. Collaborate with project managers to review, verify, and reconcile project-related expenses. Maintain and update vendor records, ensuring accurate contact information, W-9s, and compliance with vendor policies. Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely invoicing and payments. Support project accounting and ensure accurate project costing and billing. Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes. Prepare and submit monthly accounts payable reports, aging reports, and assist with month-end close activities. Support the finance team with audit preparation and documentation requests. Leverage Deltek Vantagepoint software for accounts payable and receivable processes, reporting, and record-keeping. Qualifications Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in accounts payable, preferably in the AEC industry. Software Proficiency: Experience with Deltek Vision or Vantagepoint is preferred but not required. Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required. Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred; equivalent experience in a related field required. Skills Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Strong organizational and time management skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively across teams.
