The Vice President for Finance and Administrative Services is a member of the senior administration and serves as the chief financial officer of the college. The Vice President for Finance and Administrative Services is responsible for providing district-wide leadership, supervision, guidance and direction for financial services, facilities, purchasing services, and campus police, including long-term planning, contract and insurance management, and related programs and services. Typical Duties: Examples of key duties and responsibilities are interpreted as being descriptive and not restrictive in nature. Frequency of assignment, function, duty, and responsibility may adjust as needed to support departmental and/or institutional needs. Supervises and provides leadership to college departments and functions responsible for finance and administrative services, campus police, purchasing services, facilities management and planning across the district. Ensures the delivery of a comprehensive array of business and infrastructure services that fulfill institutional goals, priorities, and strategic planning. Directs the preparation of the college budget, reviews and analyzes departmental budgets, provides leadership and direction for engaging stakeholders participating in support of district-wide fiscal priorities, participates in prioritizing budget requests, presents budget recommendation to local and state officials and public. Coordinates the development of partnership opportunities presented to the district from private entities, educational organizations, city, county, state and federal agencies. Develops a revenue projection plan that addresses future enrollment growth, staffing growth, sources of revenue including tuition, state support and district assessed valuation changes to address operational and capital expenditures. Facilitates the ongoing development of short- and long-term capital improvement plans for the district. Oversee all aspects of public safety services and emergency preparedness, including the district's response to emergency incidents. Coordinates college facility maintenance and renovation, real estate acquisition and or exchanges, and property disposal or sale. Responsible for the overview, review and recommendation for approval of contracts, state and federal grants, and bond sales for the college district. Responsible for the review, recommendation, development, and implementation of procedures and practices for all areas of responsibility. Represents the college to various external entities and with outside agencies in matters relating to the district's business and infrastructure issues. Supports and participates in strategic planning initiatives and performs other duties as assigned. Required Qualifications: Certified Public Accountant. Five (5) years of increasingly responsible management experience overseeing and administering finance, business and support operations, and supervision with at least two (2) years of senior level experience OR Master's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field.
