Job DescriptionAtlantic Health System is seeking an Activities Assistant to join the Atlantic Adult Day Center.Essential Job FunctionsWork with ADC team to ensure safety of clients, at all times. Interact with clients in a professional and positive manner. Treat clients with respect, kindness, patience; helping to maintain clients' dignity.Assist clients who are unsteady with walking.Able lift up to 25 pounds.Provide hands-on assistance for clients, including personal care as needed.Participate in leading activities/program at request of Lead Activities Assistant.Participate in organization and coordination of activities/projects at request of Lead Activities Assistant.Assist during lunchtime to ensure calm, orderly flow of dining experience for clients.Set up program rooms for recreation activities. Communicate with member's responsible party as needed and directed.Promote ADC in the community whenever possible.Perform other duties as assigned.Required QUALIFICATIONS High School Diploma or equivalent.Preferred 1 year of experience in assisted living, skilled nursing, or Adult Day Care experience or related field. Experience professionally or personally in working with the population served by our Adult Day Center which is elderly and often with cognitive impairment.
