Piping Design ManagerMilford, CTDirect HireJob Description:Lead the development of system designs in-house, ensuring all designs are up to code and meet project specifications.Oversee the coordination and integration of piping systems into overall project design and construction.Manage a team of engineers and designers, providing guidance, feedback, and training to ensure the team is performing at its best.Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other construction professionals to ensure the seamless integration of systems.Develop and implement project schedules and budgets, ensuring all projects are completed on time and within budget.Review and approve design drawings and specifications, ensuring they meet quality standards and project requirements.Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of piping systems, ensuring they are functioning correctly and safely.Manage relationships with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and collaboration at all stages of a project.Keep up-to-date with the latest advancements in pipingdesign and construction, implementing new technologies and practices as appropriate.Ensure all work is carried out in accordance with company policies and procedures, as well as health and safety regulations.Qualifications:Bachelor's degree in Engineering, or a related field.A minimum of 5 years' experience in piping design and project management in the construction/ chemical industry,.Proven experience leading the development of piping system designs in-house.Strong knowledge of piping systems, construction methods, and industry best practices.Excellent project management skills, with the ability to oversee multiple projects simultaneously.Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with a range of stakeholders.Proficiency in relevant software, such as AutoCAD, Revit, and MS Project.Familiarity with building codes, regulations, and standards
