TCI has an immediate need for an IT Control Systems Engineer for in either San Antonio Texas, Denver Colorado, or Findlay OH. This is a long-term contract opportunity with probable extensions and possible hire. This is not a C2C opportunity. SUMMARY The IT Control Systems Engineer will work on a dispersed team of individuals administering and upgrading networks across the US. You will follow each sites inventory plan to monitor, upgrade/swap out/repair and maintain servers, routers, switches and/or PC's. REQUIREMENTS Experience working in a manufacturing or factory environment monitoring control systems. Familiarity with Intelex for Management of Change (MOC) processes. Ideally one has experience working in an oil and gas refinery or have knowledge with including systems such as DCS, SCADA, PLC, and HMI. Expertise in computer resource allocation, performance tuning, capacity planning, and scalable infrastructure deployment. Extensive experience managing physical and virtual servers using technologies like VMware and Hyper-V. Familiarity with Windows security practices such as patch management, firewall configuration, and access control. Skilled in network traffic analysis, diagnosing connectivity issues, and performance optimization. Strong understanding of networking, firewall concepts, and cybersecurity standards. Proficiency with automation tools like Roclink, Studio 5000, RSLinx, and other FactoryTalk applications. Hands-on experience with Allen Bradley PLCs for configuration, troubleshooting, and programming. Strong understanding of industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, OPC, and other standards. Proven ability to troubleshoot across applications, control systems, automation software, and hardware in both field and control room environments. Hands-on experience with VMware or Hyper-V for deploying, managing, and optimizing virtual environments to ensure system performance and high availability. DESIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS ITIL Foundation certification preferred. Preferred experience in OT environments, including systems such as DCS, SCADA, PLC, and HMI. Proficiency in Active Directory, Group Policy, PowerShell, and Windows Server administration for managing users, permissions, and configurations. Experience or willingness to learn platforms like Wonderware and DeltaV for monitoring and optimizing industrial processes.
