Assist in diagnosing and repairing equipment failures. Work with the maintenance team to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, or hydraulic issues. Help in disassembling and assembling equipment components for repairs and upgrades. Maintain an inventory of necessary maintenance supplies and tools, ensuring that all required materials are available for repairs. Ensure all maintenance work is carried out following safety protocols and company policies. Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) as required. Work closely with senior maintenance staff, operators, and production teams to address ongoing maintenance needs and ensure minimal disruption to production. Assist in maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and any parts replaced or serviced. Keep work areas clean and organized, including ensuring that maintenance tools and materials are properly stored. Be available to assist in emergency maintenance situations to restore operations in a timely manner. Job Requirements for Maintenance Assistant : 3 years experience in industrial maintenance or mechanical repair, preferably in a manufacturing environment. Experience in a paper mill or similar production facility is a plus. Basic knowledge of electrical systems, machinery, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical systems. Ability to read technical manuals and blueprints. Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to quickly diagnose and resolve mechanical or electrical issues. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, work in physically demanding environments, and stand for long periods. Good verbal communication skills for reporting issues and collaborating with the team.
