Allied Medical LLC is a U.S. manufacturer of FDA approved respiratory medical devices and immobilization products.Role DescriptionAs a Procurement Manager at Allied Medical you will play a pivotal role in ensuring seamless coordination and efficient flow of materials, products and information throughout the entire production, supply chain and logistics functions of the organization.Main DutiesInventory Management:Oversee inventory levels to prevent stockouts and excess inventory, optimizing the balance between supply and demand.Implement inventory control measures to reduce carrying costs and improve working capital efficiency.Supplier Management:Manage relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms and contracts to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of raw materials and components.Assess supplier performance, address issues and identify opportunities for improvement.Logistics and Distribution:Coordinate and optimize the transportation and distribution of finished products to customers or distribution centers.Work closely with transportation providers and logistics partners to ensure on-time delivery and cost-effectiveness.Process Improvement:Continuously analyze supply chain and production processes to identify areas of improvement in efficiency, cost-savings and quality.implement process improvements and best practices to enhance overall supply chain/procurement performance.Risk Management:Identify potential supply chain disruptions and develop contingency plans to mitigate risks and maintain continuity of operations.Monitor external factors that could impact the supply chain and take proactive measures to address potential challenges.Team Leadership:Lead and develop a team of supply chain and logistics professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.Data Analysis and Reporting:Utilize data analytics to generate insightful reports and KPIs related to supply chain, procurement and production performance.Present reports to senior management and use the data to make informed decisions to drive improvements.Skills, Qualifications and Competence levelDegree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or related fields desirable but not essential.Proven experience in supply chain management, procurement, logistics, production planning, preferably in a managerial or supervisory role.In-depth knowledge of supply chain principles, production processes, and logistics operationsStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of collaborating with various departments and stakeholders.Proficiency in using supply chain management software, ERP and MRP systems, and data analytics tools.Supplier Evaluation and Contract Negotiation skillsProcurement and Contract Management expertiseExperience in the medical device industry is a plusProfessional certification in Procurement or Supply Chain Management is preferred
