Job Description

The Product and Pricing Analyst is responsible for setting up and maintaining products, including their pricing and costing, within the pharmacy management system. This individual will be the technical expert in product-related discrepancies leading to improper reimbursement and negative margins. This position will investigate and resolve retail pricing issues from stores, address daily negative margin reports, maintain pharmacy product setup and manage catalog additions & deletions. As key member of the pharmacy division, the individual will work closely with the supply chain team and the retail support team. Other ongoing work will be coordinating product source changes with the Procurement Analyst, managing helpdesk tickets with the support team and coordinating with the Business Analyst on financial reporting.Essential Functions:The core functions of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:Act as technical expert for product setup and maintenance within EnterpriseRxProvide store level support for open issues with retail costing, pricing, grouping and sourcing as well as other data elements as appropriateCoordinate with Grocery West and Pharmacy division to ensure product flow utilizing RAPID, SAP and EnterpriseRxOptimize product catalog and retail pricing to benefit pharmacy division sales and profitTimely and regular interaction with retail pharmacy staff to address insurance billing issuesUtilize Wakefern systems, Enterprise RX and RAPID, to generate product reporting and catalog files for store orderingAs part of the Retail Service team, serve as back-up for the managing of helpdesk ticketsSupport division associates with ongoing work coordinating product source changes and with the coordination of financial reportingRegularly partner with Pharmacy division Business Analyst to complete catalog assortment reviewsParticipate and present at Wakefern committees as neededKnowledge and Skill Requirements:Four-year college degree or relevant experience preferred1-3 years of previous retail pharmacy or retail product pricing management experience is requiredKnowledge of Wakefern systems (EnterpriseRx, RAPID, SAP) is preferredWell-developed knowledge of MS Excel (i.e., pivot tables, filters, etc.) is required. MS Office experience is preferredAbility to work in fast paced environment, with demonstrated ability to multi-task and resolve problems effectively and efficientlyProven leadership, assertiveness, interpersonal and analytical skills proficiency is essentialWell-developed oral and written communication skills including the ability to write and deliver both informal and formal presentationsPhysical Demands and Work Environment:Ability to sit in front of a computer for long periods of timeAbility to adhere to the company's four day in office requirement
