Position SummaryThe Flight Operations Scheduler reports to the Duty Operations Manager and is responsible for implementing the daily flight schedule. This role ensures that flight instructors, students, and aircraft are scheduled efficiently and effectively. The Scheduler will work closely with dispatch and instructors to support students' progress.Duties/ResponsibilitiesImplement the daily schedule to efficiently assign flight instructors, students, aircraft, simulators, ground lessons, and flight lessons.Make changes to the daily flight schedule and communicate those changes to instructors and students.Monitor assignments for FAR legalities and company policies for flight instructors and aircraft.Coordinate training activities.Responsible for shift change management and communications of crew assignments and locations.Assist flight instructors in rescheduling training activities if the outcomes are incomplete or unsatisfactory.Maintain a communication center and serve as a point of contact for the pilot workgroup regarding schedules and flight-related issues, including sick notices, delay notifications, and assignment modifications.Maintains the integrity of the flight schedule by ensuring all flight segments have been assigned to a legal flight instructor and a student.Coordinates with Flight Operations Specialists and other departments to resolve problems that arise during future scheduling needs.And other duties as assigned.Qualifications ExperienceFamiliarity with scheduling softwareComputer skills to include MS Excel, Teams, Word, OutlookFlexible with schedule and work hoursEducationThree years in aviation, manufacturing, or logistics as a route scheduler preferred.Essential Knowledge, Skills, BehaviorsDemonstrates a positive attitude, with a willingness to learn new responsibilities, adapt to change, and collaborate effectively as a team player, while possessing a passion for continuous improvement.Highly motivated with excellent time management, organizational, and communication skills.
