BXCI is also a leading provider of investment management services for insurers, helping those companies better deliver for policyholders through our world-class capabilities in investment grade private credit.Job Title: BDC Controller, Vice PresidentThe BDC Controller will be a leader of the accounting, finance and financial reporting for Blackstone Credit's business development company (BDC) investment advisory business. Blackstone Credit manages BXSL (a publicly traded BDC) and BCRED (a continuously offered non-traded BDC).The principal responsibilities for supporting the BDCs include:Managing teams responsible for day-to-day accounting, administration, and reporting of the business development companiesOverseeing internal accounting team and working directly with the third-party administrator to determine the fund's monthly NAVReporting directly to the chief accounting officer of the BDCs and working closely with the chief financial officer of the BDCsPreparing the analysis of fund returns and delivering regular management deliverables on fund performance and key fund metricsMonitoring compliance with the SEC and IRS regulatory tests applicable to BDCs, in coordination with legal, compliance and tax teamsPreparing 10-K10-Q and other SEC filings. Performing research on new transactions and new accounting pronouncements and assess their impact on financial statementsWorking closely with Operations, Product Control and Valuations teams to ensure consistency between internal accounting systems and administrator data and accurate reporting of fund investments and P&LPartnering with the investment and business teams to support fund analytics, including maintaining the BDC financial model, liquidity management, and portfolio manager reportingPreparing materials and presenting to the BDC Board of DirectorsCoordinating with technology teams to improve automation of manual processesEstablishing and maintaining an appropriate internal control frameworkQualifications:Undergraduate degreeCPA license is required8+ years of or work experience (publicprivate accounting mix preferred)BDC product experience required (non-traded BDCs a plus)SEC reporting experience requiredStrong internal financial controls awarenessExcellent interpersonal and communication skillsIdeal candidates would have a commitment to excellence in their work product and a desire to learn and grow as a professionalThe duties and responsibilities described here are not exhaustive and additional assignments, duties, or responsibilities may be required of this position.
