This role does not offer sponsorship.As part of our continued growth, we are looking for an English Teacher to join the amazing team at The Tower School in Epping.Who we are looking forWe are looking for an English Teacher who can deliver high-quality English teaching tailored to students, fostering a supportive and inclusive learning environment that enables all pupils to make progress in literacy, language, and communication.Key Task Areas and ResponsibilitiesTeaching up to GCSE English Language and LiteratureTo plan, deliver and teach individual students or small groups, in accordance with the Schools Curriculum framework and related policiesTo monitor, record and report on student progressTo contribute to and help implement developments that relate to the School Development PlanTo promote, in line with Company policies, the physical, educational and moral development of the studentsTo contribute to the development and implementation of an environment and programme of learning for the individual student to ensure progression at an appropriate and satisfactory rateTo take responsibility for coordinating the teaching, development, assessment, recording and reporting of subjects and areas of learning across key stages as agreed with the HeadteacherTo devise, implement and review individual education plans, individual behaviour plans and other relevant individual plans in conjunction with other staffTo organise the classroom, its resources, student groupings and displays to provide a stimulating learning situation appropriate for studentsAdequately plan to ensure the safety of students, in line with risk assessments, while both on and off siteQualifications requiredUK QTS or equivalentAbout the schoolThe Tower School is an independent special day school for pupils ages 11 18 years who have a primary diagnosis of Autism. Our dedicated team work together to ensure successful outcomes for pupils who will often arrive at the school with a troubled view of education and life.This opportunity is based in Epping, Essex, CM16 4BA and is located on Epping High Road within easy access of J26 of the M25 and Junction 5 of the M11. Epping is a lovely market town in Essex and just 17 miles (30km) from the centre of London. It is surrounded by Epping Forest and the River Roding and River Lea valleys. The school is just a 10-minute walk from Epping station on the London Undergrounds central line which will have you in Londons West End in under 50 minutes.For over 16 years Options Autism have provided care and education to pupils, young people and adults with autism, complex needs and learning difficulties.
