What Were Looking For Compliance & Auditing Knowledge:A quality assurance professional, familiar with ISO/IEC 17065:2012. Technical Expertise:Broad knowledge of the British standards for pitched, flat, and metal roofing disciplines, with a deep understanding of building regulations related to roofing. Professionalism : A strong communicator with excellent conflict resolution skills, confident in their ability to identify risk and implement effective solutions, whilst maintaining a positive team culture. Reliabilitywith a positive attitude who actively contributes to their group in order to meet goals and manage projects. We are looking for a confident management professional to drive the development and delivery of robust quality assurance services to the roofing industry. Key attributes for the role include: Essential: Management Competencies Strong leadershipto guide and develop a team of inspectors, ensuring high performance and accountability. Policy development and implementationcreating and maintaining comprehensive technical compliance policies and procedures, ensuring they are effectively communicated and followed through the organisation Strong communication skillsto develop customer relationships and convey complex compliance requirements to different stakeholders, including non-technical teams. Risk assessment and mitigation skillsto identify potential areas of non-compliance, conducting risk assessments and developing preventative measures to address identified risks. Knowledge Competencies Technical understanding of building control legislation, guidance, and associated standards to provide evidence-based decisions and secure compliance with building regulations Thorough knowledge of roofing and cladding quality assuranceto ensure high levels of compliance and to identify and address any matters of non-compliance. Analytical mindsetto investigate incidents, reviewing data, proposing improvements and corrective actions. Training and awareness skillsto develop and deliver technical compliance training programmes to educate internally and externally on relevant regulations and procedures. Relevant Qualifications Certified Compliance Manager (CCM)certificate or equivalent in compliance management Building Inspector Professional Class 2 and Competence Level Cin accordance with HSE guidance Desirable Attributes Advanced level Microsoft Office 365, experienced in use of CRM and data management platforms. Attention to detailto identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, and non-conformities in audits and inspections. Decisivenessin making compliance-related judgments and enforcing standards. Proactive mindsetto anticipate compliance risks and take preventive measures. Strong report writingability to document audit findings, compliance reports, and policy updates accurately. Presentation skillswith the confidence to represent NFRC at stakeholder engagements AsCompliance Manager , you will: Work closely with NFRC technical officers to develop robust audit and compliance processes that ensure consistency and efficient delivery of auditing and inspection practices Manage a team of inspectors, overseeing surveillance activities and competency assessments. Provide technical guidance to registered contractors on industry standards and regulatory changes. Conduct standardisation reviews, including surveillance inspections, contractor evaluations, and compliance rectifications. Liaise with industry stakeholders, contractors, and technical experts to uphold high-quality compliance standards. Represent NFRC CPS at contractor forums, external events, and oversight committee meetings. Why Join Us?
