Position : General Manager, Business Unit Director, Managing Director, Operations DirectorLocation : Windsor, Slough, Berkshire, West LondonSector : Electronics, hardware, software, research and development, product development, manufacturingSalary : £100,000-£120,000 plus benefits Essential Requirements :A formal qualification in a technical subject - electronics, hardware, software or similar - to degree levelExperience of working in a SME is essentialExperience of the design and development of specialist electronic equipment Experience of managing teams of hardware engineers, software engineers, electronics engineers, project managers and manufacturing teamsStrong commercial awareness : experience of managing a P & L is essentialAble to work out payback times on R&D projectsCustomer facingExperience of providing products and services into the North American market is desirableThis role will see you taking the helm of a £5-10 million turnover, 40 person SME. The company designs and develops a range of extremely niche electronics products ; this comprises a blend of 'off the shelf' products as well as bespoke products designed with and for specific organisations and applications. As General Manager / Business Unit Director / Managing Director / Operations Director, you will report into the Group Managing Director based elsewhere in the UK.
