Head of Finance Non-profit up to 75k bens, hybrid (3 days in office, 2 days remote) Our client is a lovely and high-profile non-profit providing crucial membership services to a niche group championing their careers and being a voice for the sector. They are looking for a new Head of Finance to join their friendly and supportive team, this is a key role that oversees all financial activities reporting to the CEO and Chair of the Trustee Board. As well as a supportive working environment, they offer 25 days annual leave, contributory pension scheme, and regular staff socials amongst other benefits. As Head of Finance you will plan and oversee all financial activities, managing the Finance team. This role will advise the Trustee Board and Honorary Treasurer inn respect of financial services, preparing and presenting strategic finance issues to the board. You will be overseeing all financial matters across corporate insurance, staff benefits including pension and life insurance and supervising payroll. The Head of Finance will ensure the work of Finance Team is carried out effectively, including bank and cash procedures, accounting systems and subsidiary records and making regular management reports and overseeing the annual budget. The new Head of Finance will also ensure all statutory accounts, taxation and legal reporting deadlines are met, working with the Head of Business Operations on company filing and submission of filing for the Charities Commission. An eye for detail is imperative Prior experience in the charity or not-for- profit sector is a real bonus alongside extensive financial management experience. What do I need? At least 7 years experience in a similar financial role Fundamental understanding of governance and accounting regulations is essential Bachelors degree or equivalent, CIMA or ACCA qualified Member of a financial body to ensure CPD is kept up to date.
