We''re supporting one of our clients on a Lead/Senior Systems Engineer role within a high-growth tech company at the intersection of digital assets and institutional infrastructure. This is a hands-on role given the scale-up nature, that will see you owning everything from deep technical architecture to daily user support, working across both Windows and Linux environments. Youll report directly into the CTO and join a lean, dynamic team where there''s zero room for egos, but endless room for people who get stuck in, take initiative, and get things done. Part second-line support, part high-end projects, with full ownership and the ability to suggest and drive changes across the business. Whether you''re rearchitecting SharePoint sites, scripting automation, managing Azure infrastructure, or just sorting out printers and provisioning hardware, you''ll be the go-to person. There is no tier above you. If you like firefighting, building, automating, fixing, shipping, and genuinely being mission-criticalthis is for you. The right person will have strong systems experience, a passion for infrastructure, and a high growth mindset. What were looking for: Deep experience across Windows and Linux system administration Strong scripting ability ( PowerShell , Bash, ideally some SQL) Azure and O365 experience; bonus for AWS or hybrid environments Exposure to firewalls (Cisco, Palo Alto) and security best practices Someone whos come from small teams and likes doing both support and architecture Able to suggest and implement technical improvements, not just maintain the status quo A doer with passion for tech, and someone whos happy to cover helpdesk/support as needed Big plus for experience with automation , internal tooling, and infra-as-code mindset Bonus points if youve: Contributed to open-source, side projects or technical communities Come from fintech, trading, or prop tech environments (but not essential) Delivered major IT or infra projects on your own initiative Location: London, City Package: Circa 80-100,000 Base Package NB: This role is based fully onsite, Monday to Friday.
