Cybersecurity Specialist- Full time/perm Hybrid/ Close to Sunderland - Must be based in the region have full right to work in the UK. We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Cybersecurity Analyst to join our growing Information Security team based near Sunderland. The successful candidate will play a key role in protecting our digital assets, monitoring threats, investigating incidents, and supporting the implementation of security policies and controls across the business. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and respond to security alerts and events across endpoints, networks, and cloud environments. Perform daily analysis of security logs from SIEM tools and other sources to detect potential threats. Investigate and manage cybersecurity incidents, performing root cause analysis and remediation. Assist in vulnerability management activities, including scanning, reporting, and coordinating patching. Support the implementation and maintenance of security tools (e.g., endpoint protection, firewalls, email security). Conduct user awareness training and contribute to phishing simulations or similar initiatives. Collaborate with IT teams on secure configurations, access controls, and system hardening. Document processes, incident reports, and recommend improvements to strengthen the overall security posture. Stay informed on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and regulatory requirements.
