Senior Data Engineer - Fintech 6 Month Contract - Possibility of extension London - Hybrid We are looking for a Senior Level Data Engineer highly experienced within SQL , to join an exciting scale-up Fintech on an initial 6 Month Contract . This is a great opportunity to join a fast paced environment, supporting the development of the Data team. The Opportunity: This role is sitting within the Data Warehouse team and are responsible for developing and maintaining SQL Data Warehouse which holds key Data within the Banking payment platforms. The Data Engineer will also be responsible for developing and supporting ETL processes , monitoring performance, building efficiencies and producing ''POC'' reports. Key Duties: Develop automated solutions/systems to assist the business in its operation, utilising the Microsoft SQL Server suite of products Utilise the groups available software suite to reduce/remove manual processes for example automation of data acquisition tasks via Microsoft Power suite (Power Apps, Power Automate, Power Query) Use data engineering skills to transform and prepare data for use in analytical and visualisation models Fully document and maintain working procedures of ETL processes Producing analysis and insight to understand performance over time Provide recommendations to the business based on the results of analysis undertaken Key Skills: Ability to understand complex datasets Focus on using own initiative, and adopting a logical and systematic approach to work Analytically focussed & detail conscious Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work as part of a team Experience within the Financial Services Industry Background in SQL and Mathematics Experience of using ETL tools (SSIS)
