Job purposeTo direct and lead on the development and execution of the company’s internal communications and engagement strategies, delivering communications activities that are aligned with the company’s overall communications strategy, to increase employee engagement, trust and pride. To agree principles and standards for internal communication and engagement and assure the delivery in national and devolved business units.Key accountabilitiesLead the strategic direction and performance for internal communications and engagement disciplines, building a fully aligned and integrated internal communications and engagement function that delivers the company’s internal communications strategies, builds engagement and pride among employees and strengthens the brand.Direct the execution of the company’s internal communications and engagement strategies so that major programmes and activities are conducted successfully.Lead and direct the development and delivery of core internal communications channels and programmes, continuously improving these and ensuring that they are targeted, well planned and evaluated. Provide strategic advice and lead the interface with internal and external senior stakeholders, providing credible challenge and building strong relationships, to support the business in defining their requirements and delivering best practice internal communicationsTeam size approx. 25
