That’s where you come in….Position DescriptionAn excellent opportunity has arisen for a Mechanical Design Engineer to work in the Product Development Chiller team. It involves working closely with a team of mechanical, electrical, controls, manufacturing and quality engineers to design and develop new standard global Chiller products whilst maintaining the existing portfolio.Key ResponsibilitiesThe role consists of working as part of a team to develop new product design projects in accordance with APQP (Advanced Product Quality Planning) and relevant SOM guidelines from concept through to full product launch. You will aid the Lead Mechanical engineer where necessary and as a team will be responsible for creating design briefs for companywide approval, performance predictions, hitting cost targets, designing products with manufacturing and assembly in mind to allow labour targets to be met, project timescales, technical features, training and all critical deliverables.
