The RoleScendea is seeking a highly motivated Finance Manager to join our global team in a full-time, office-based role at our UK office in Bishops Stortford, Hertfordshire.Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, the Finance Manager will closely collaborate with them to manage and enhance financial operations, whilst also providing strategic support in a limited business partnering capacity.The ideal candidate will be enthusiastic and highly organised, with strong process-orientated skills, capable of working cross-functionally on the planning and implementation of projects.This role offers an excellent opportunity for career development within the Finance Team at a rapidly growing Regulatory Consultancy.Role RequirementsClosing of the monthly accounts and all supporting analyses and reconciliations.Support the preparation of monthly management accounts.Working with the Financial Controller and CFO on departmental budgets and forecasting.Assisting budget holders in monitoring and tracking the performance of budgets and deliverables.Business Partnering with the wider Operational team to enable financial training and support to the Operational Management team and Project Managers.Proactively identify and implement improvements in financial processes and systems.Implement and enforce best-in-class financial controls throughout the departments.Raise sales invoices, process purchase invoices, pay suppliers, and resolve associated queries.Support annual group audit, working directly with external auditors.Preparation and submission of quarterly VAT returns, ensuring compliance with VAT regulations.Preparation of R&D tax credit claims and other tax compliance with the Financial Controller and external advisors.Support the preparation of statutory accounts identification, implementation, and documentation of SOPs for all financial processes.Line Management opportunities as the company expands.Actively participate in Company initiatives and projects, to support the development, expansion, and evolution of the company.Skills and ExperienceA CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualification.A minimum of three years of experience in an accounting practice or business analyst-related role.Proven ability to plan and manage the completion of tasks to deadlines.Experience in reviewing and interpreting financial information, with the ability to communicate insights to a range of key stakeholders.Knowledge of the challenges faced by a rapidly growing SME, ideally those presented both in organic growth and M&A.Data manipulation and analysis using Excel or similar tools.Exemplary organisational and time management skills with a high level of attention to detail, and the proven ability to work both proactively and autonomously.High level of verbal communication and presentation skills in English, computer literacy, and competency in MS Office programs.A desire to add value and a clear ambition to progress your career in Finance.BenefitsA competitive salary.Generous bonus program, which rewards success.26 days holiday plus discretionary additional days for birthday and work anniversary and public holidays.5% Employer pension contribution.Provision of Private Healthcare insurance.Access to Employee Assistance Programme.Employee Ownership Trust Scheme.A challenging and stimulating position for a dynamic and competent scientist, looking to contribute to a growing business and a rapidly expanding team.Coaching, mentoring and support of your continuous learning, and professional development within a highly recognised international team.The CompanyScendea is an international product development and regulatory consulting group delivering market-leading scientific expertise & regulatory solutions, to advance healthcare innovation worldwide.
