Summary of RoleThe right candidate will demonstrate and ensure an IT estate that enables staff to work efficiently and effectively, enabling the best possible experience for users and the firms clients. They will also manage the firms internal IT team to ensure that targets and objectives are set, while developing and enhancing all users knowledgeJob ResponsibilitiesTo formulate and deliver a firm IT strategy aligned with the firms strategy Ensuring an IT estate that is robust and secure from malicious threats, and that provides accurate data for relevant individuals and groups to make informed business decisions.To investigate instances of IT service disruption and to report to the Managing Partner the cause and the steps required to resolve the issue and any further steps needed to avoid repetitionTo ensure that all applications are configured, developed and enhanced such that they can be efficiently and effectively used by the staff.To manage cyber security measures (including Pen Testing, SOC & SIEM), cyber security training, cyber insurance, cyber accreditations, the firms cyber playbooks (e.g. for a ransomware attack), endpoint protection and the firms IT policies and procedures (e.g. password policy and disaster recovery plan).Key Skills Required Minimum 5 years experience of delivering IT leadership & developing IT Strategies to law firms or other professional services at a high level.Experience with legal applications, such as; Aderant, Elite, Bighand, iManage or similar.Experience in Microsoft 365 applications, configuration and administration and ensuring the firm receives the expected benefitsHands-on experience of industry standards (ITIL, Cyber Essentials, Prince 2).Excellent stakeholder management, team management and project management skills.
