With around 60 lay staff, the Trust delivers on a five-year strategy, Choosing a Future Together, to ensure a sustainable, faith-led future for the Abbey and its valley home.Main Responsibilities but not limited to:-Develop and deliver joined-up marketing, communications, and fundraising strategies to support the Trusts aims.Use market research and audience insight to shape messaging, campaigns, and engagement.Lead and support a small, motivated team; foster teamwork and continuous development.Create and manage marketing campaigns across digital, print, events and social media.Oversee brand, content and collateral production, ensuring consistent and engaging messaging.Coordinate with Ampleforth Colleges Marketing and Development teams.Manage relationships with external consultants and agencies for both marketing and fundraising.Identify and cultivate donor and supporter relationships, from major gifts to regular giving and legacies.Track campaign and fundraising performance, using data to inform and improve future activity.Oversee budgets for marketing, communications and development, ensuring resources are used effectively.Build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders locally and nationally.Represent the Abbey and Trust as an ambassador at relevant events and meetings.ExperienceYou will have:A strong track record in marketing, communications or development at a strategic levelExperience in faith-based, cultural, charitable, educational or visitor-based organisationsProven leadership experience, including managing teams and delivering resultsConfidence in budget management and using insight and data to guide decision-makingFamiliarity with both digital and traditional marketing channelsSuccess in developing and growing supporter or donor engagementSkills and AttributesYou will bring:Excellent communication, leadership and team-building skillsA collective, inclusive, and results-driven approachStrategic thinking paired with creative flairStrong influencing and relationship-building abilitiesComfort working with audience insight and market trendsEmpathy for Ampleforths mission and the ability to represent us authenticallyIntegrity, professionalism and a positive, agile mindsetAmpleforth Abbey Trust is committed to the highest standards of safeguarding.
