Contract Snr BA - Derivatives - 800/day - OUTSIDE IR35 - Hybrid/LondonMy client is seeking a Business Analyst to play a critical role in analysing business requirements and working with developers to test and release front-office trading solutions. This is a business-facing role requiring excellent communication and negotiation skills while engaging with stakeholders across all levels, including C-suite executives.You will be part of a small but highly respected IT team, providing analytic tools to a derivatives trading desk. With a proven track record of delivering change continuously through multiple weekly releases, this team has built strong, trusted relationships with the business. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a high-impact and fast-moving environment.Key Responsibilities:Engage with derivatives traders and IT teams to define requirements, propose solutions, broker decisions, and achieve consensus.Work closely with developers to deliver business requirements and support User Acceptance Testing (UAT).Provide third-line support to traders and assist in resolving complex technical issues.Collaborate with front-office teams to optimise IT solutions, ensuring they directly contribute to revenue growth.Identify system improvements and recommend innovative solutions to stakeholders.Key Skills & Competencies:Technical Skills (Hard Skills):Python & SQL Strong understanding of programming logic and working with large, complex data sets.Mathematical Models Comfortable interfacing with mathematical models in a trading environment.ETRM Systems & Trade Lifecycle Experience with Energy Trading and Risk Management (ETRM) systems and an understanding of trade lifecycle processes is highly regarded.Business & Soft Skills:Self-Starter Ability to work independently and take initiative in a fast-paced environment.Team Collaboration Strong team-player mindset, achieving results through shared initiatives.Complex Problem-Solving Capable of understanding intricate business issues and specifying IT solutions.Project Coordination Experience in delivering complex initiatives within an Agile framework.Stakeholder Management Strong facilitation and influencing skills to align business and IT teams.High-Pressure Performance Ability to meet tight deadlines and negotiate effectively under pressure.Clear Communication Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills for technical and non-technical audiences.Adaptability Thrives in an evolving high-growth business environment.Experience Required:Proven technical business analysis experience in front-office trading environments.Experience working with commodities markets, particularly energy and gas trading.Exposure to derivatives products, particularly options, is highly desirable.Strong familiarity with Agile delivery methodologies.Education:Degree (or equivalent experience) in a numerate discipline such as Finance, Mathematics, Computer Science, or Engineering.Contract Snr BA - Derivatives - 800/day - OUTSIDE IR35 - Hybrid/London
