Our client, a rapidly growing SME, are looking for a talented Head of Finance to lead the finance function, being the first in-house finance hire. You will be responsible for overseeing the financial health of the business, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance, and efficiency in financial processes. You will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning whilst working with senior leadership to drive business growth.Responsibilities:Manage all aspects of financial reporting, including monthly management accounts, P&L, and balance sheetsHandle day-to-day bookkeeping tasksOversee cash flow forecasting and financial planningEnsure accurate and timely reconciliation of accounts, payroll, and VAT returnsWork closely with the leadership on budgeting and cost controlLead financial audits, ensuring compliance with relevant regulationsOversee accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and invoicingMaintain and optimise financial systems, always striving for system improvementRequirementsProven experience as a FC/FM/HoF or similar role within a recruitment firmFully qualified ACCA/CIMA/ACAStrong proficiency in XeroExcellent knowledge of financial regulations, reporting, and tax complianceStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a commercial mindsetAbility to communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholdersHigh attention to detail, accuracy, and ability to work independentlyKnowledge of UK and US financial environments (advantageous)
