Role Overview:Im looking for a reliable and creative Social Media Assistant to help manage my social media presence across various platforms for my brand, SliderCuts, as well as our shop page, SliderCuts Studios. This role will involve assisting with day-to-day activities on Instagram, YouTube, TikTok, LinkedIn, Twitter, and potentially Pinterest. If you have a passion for social media, stay updated on platform trends, and can bring fresh ideas to the table, this role could be for you.Key Responsibilities:Instagram:Post videos and content that I create (recorded and edited by me).Formulate on-screen captions and ensure accuracy by checking that they match what is said in the videos.Find videos within the barber niche for me to react to and identify trending topics on the platform.Respond to comments and messages.Develop engaging captions and video headers.Stay updated on Instagrams algorithm changes and suggest improvements.Manage and post Instagram Stories, including text-based posts.Schedule posts at optimal times and ensure timely engagement with followers.TikTok:Upload videos to TikTok, adding headlines, captions, and ensuring accuracy in text.Monitor and respond to comments and inbox messages.Adapt content to suit TikToks style and audience.Assist in identifying trending topics and videos for me to react to.Twitter:Share content from Instagram and other platforms.Put out updates about SliderCuts, such as shop openings, closures, key announcements, and events, similar to a newsletter format.Respond to messages, retweets, and mentions.Repost content from followers and fans.Shop Page Content (SliderCuts Studios):Help generate ideas and create content for the shops social media page.Visit the shop in Hackney once a week to record content.Perform basic editing for shop-related posts.Newsletter:Write newsletters with updates on the shop, whats happening with SliderCuts, and any events or talks involving me, Mark Maciver.Share information about promotions, shop openings/closings, and more.Propose creative ideas for additional newsletter topics.Must be comfortable with reading and writing, taking dictation, and transcribing content accurately.Ideal Candidate:Good with writing, including grammar, dictation, and transcribing.Knowledge of using Canva for social media content creation.Creative and full of ideas for social media content.Strong understanding of various social media platforms and their unique requirements.Able to stay on top of trends and new features, especially on Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube.Detail-oriented and organized, capable of working with management tools like Later, Trello, TickTick, and Notion.A self-starter who takes initiative and doesnt need constant reminders.Willing to undergo training and integrate into the team.Basic video editing skills are a plus.Other Details:This role may be split between two people if the full scope is too much for one person.
