Technical Lead / Product Owner - Insurance / Service Now / FSM / FSMOA leading London based insurer is looking for a Technical Lead to join their team. In this pivotal role, you will drive the development and implementation of innovative technology solutions that align with business strategies while ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT systems.Key Responsibilities:Lead the design, development, and implementation of technology solutions to support organizational goals.Provide technical direction and guidance to development teams, ensuring adherence to best practices, standards, and architectural principles.Act as a key advisor to senior management on technology trends, innovations, and opportunities for enhancing business operations.Oversee and manage the end-to-end delivery of IT projects, ensuring timely completion within budget and alignment with business objectives.Collaborate with stakeholders across departments to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.Ensure the scalability, security, and performance of IT systems and applications.Drive the adoption of modern technologies, tools, and frameworks to enhance team productivity and system efficiency.Mentor and develop technical talent, fostering a culture of continuous learning and innovation.Monitor and evaluate the performance of IT systems, identifying opportunities for improvement.Manage relationships with third-party vendors and technology partners to ensure high-quality solutions are delivered.Qualifications:Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Masters degree preferred).8+ years of progressive experience in software development or technology leadership roles.Proven experience in implementing complex, highly configurable technologies, ideally ServiceNow Customer and Industry Workflow Solutions.Advanced proficiency in core ServiceNow modules such as App Engine, IT Service Management (ITSM), IT Operations Management (ITOM), Security Operations (SecOps), and HR Service Delivery.Strong understanding of the ServiceNow platform's architecture, integration capabilities, and custom application development.Proficiency in scripting business rules, UI Policies, Client Scripts, ACLs, and Workflow Activities.Demonstrated success in designing and implementing complex IT systems and architectures.Expertise in programming languages (e.g., Java, Python, C#) and frameworks (e.g., .NET, React, Angular).In-depth knowledge of cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and microservices architecture.Familiarity with IT governance, cybersecurity, and compliance standards.Hands-on experience with Agile and DevOps methodologies.Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and guide technical teams.Excellent communication skills, capable of conveying technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.Experience in the insurance or financial services industry is a significant advantage.
