Londonderry.On-siteFull-timeAbout the jobJob Description:J&K Coaches Ltd are seeking a dedicated and proactive Transport Compliance & Depot Manager to join our growing team based in Moneymore, Co. Londonderry.  You will be responsible for ensuring our transport operations meet the highest standards of legal compliance and safety. J&K Coaches are one of the fastest-growing transport company in the North of Ireland. Key Responsibilities:Transport Manager: You will take ownership of the responsibilities associated with this role.Compliance: Ensuring full compliance with all relevant transport regulations and legislation and employee compliance.Fleet Management: Oversee our fleet of vehicles, ensuring they are well-maintained, meet legal requirements, and are scheduled for regular servicing and inspections.Auditing & Documentation: Conduct regular audits of drivers hours, tachographs, maintenance records, and vehicle inspections, ensuring full traceability and compliance with statutory requirements.Training & Development: Provide training to our drivers and operational staff on transport regulations, safety standards, and best practices to improve compliance and reduce risk.Driver Management: Monitor our drivers performance to ensure compliance with working time regulations and safe driving practices. Address all non-compliance issues and implement corrective actions where necessary.Reporting & Analysis: Continually analyse our transport operations to identify areas for improvement and ensure continual compliance, providing monthly reports to our senior management team.Health & Safety: Promote a strong culture of health and safety, ensuring that our transport operations are carried out safely and in accordance with legal requirements and best practices.Liaison with Authorities: Act as a point of contact for regulatory inspections or other audits related to our transport operations.What We’re Looking For:Qualifications: A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) in Transport Management is essential.Experience: Proven experience in a Transport Compliance, preferably within the bus and coach industry.Regulatory Knowledge: A strong understanding of UK and EU transport regulations and legislation, including driver hours, tachographs, vehicle inspections, and safety standards.Skills: Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and complex compliance issues.Communication: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to train and motivate teams and liaise with regulatory authorities.Leadership: Experience in managing a team, with the ability to mentor, coach, and develop staff.Why Work With Us?Competitive salary28 days holiday, including bank holidaysCompany pension schemeFull company uniform providedWell-equipped fleet of coaches, ambulances and taxisFree on-site parkingPay:Negotiable (based on experience)Benefits:Company pensionOn-site parkingSchedule:Monday to Friday (with some unsociable hours)Education:GCSE or equivalent (required)Licence/Certification:Transport Manager CPC (required)PSV Driving Licence (desirable)PSV Driver CPC Qualification (desirable)
