We're seeking an experienced consultant to join our dynamic team, playing a vital role in our pod-based delivery system.The roleAs a communications and marketing consultant, you'll lead integrated campaigns while supporting strategy development and managing key stakeholder relationships. Working within a client-focused structure, you'll deliver high-quality client work with autonomy while collaborating with the client 'pod' lead, account manager, senior consultants, associates and creatives. Key responsibilities:Develop and execute integrated communications and marketing strategies across multiple channelsCreate compelling content, including press releases, messaging frameworks, and campaign materialsConduct audience analyses, competitive landscape reviews, and performance evaluationsSupport strategic development through research, insights, and creative campaign conceptsManage media relations, including journalist outreach and coverage trackingCollaborate effectively within our pod structure to ensure successful project outcomesEssential requirements:Minimum 6 years' experience in communications, marketing, PR or related fieldDefence and security experienceProven track record delivering integrated campaigns that drive measurable resultsStrong writing skills across multiple formats and channelsExperience in brand positioning and messaging developmentDigital marketing knowledge, including social media and content strategyExcellent client-facing skills and stakeholder management abilitiesDegree in defence and security (e.g., war studies, international relations), STEM subjects, english, communications, or related fieldDesirable experience:Agency environmentProject managementProfessional qualification in marketing, communications, or PRExperience with marketing automation and CRM platformsAbout CannyCanny is a purpose-driven agency specialising in defence and security communications.
