Key Responsibilities:Community Engagement & Brand BuildingOwn, develop, and execute community engagement strategies through social media, events, and content to drive brand visibility and engagement.Act as the main point of contact for all community engagement initiatives, ensuring our brand stays connected and relevant to our audiences.Source and secure local sponsorships across the towns we serve to strengthen LightSpeed’s presence in the community.Oversee branded events and activities to support our sales and marketing teams, such as venue sales and local activations.Create and capture content at events, such as customer testimonials, milestone achievements, and key moments that can be used to promote the LightSpeed brand.Marketing Campaigns & AdvertisingImplement and execute marketing campaigns across LightSpeed’s paid, earned, and owned media channels in collaboration with the Campaign Manager.Identify and secure advertising opportunities across offline media channels (such as press, radio, OOH, direct mail) to increase brand awareness and preference.Support the execution of social media content, blogs, local advertising, and news articles to strengthen our online presence and position LightSpeed as a thought leader.Champion our organic social content, ensuring we consistently engage and connect with our target audiences.Loyalty & Customer Growth InitiativesPlan, develop, and execute LightSpeed’s Refer-a-Friend (MGM) scheme, driving lead generation and customer acquisition in the areas we serve.Support initiatives aimed at increasing customer adoption and retention, including B2C, B2B, community, and wholesale marketing activities.Relationship Building & Stakeholder ManagementDevelop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring collaboration and alignment on marketing objectives.Act as a marketing ambassador within the business and across the communities we serve.Event Management & ActivationPlan, coordinate, and support branded events and activities designed to generate sales, build brand visibility, and engage the community.Track merchandise stock levels and oversee the budget associated with events and community activities.Budget & Administration ManagementManage marketing budgets effectively by raising and logging purchase orders (POs) in line with allocated budgets.Track and manage merchandise stock levels to ensure sufficient supplies for events and campaigns.Market Insight & Performance TrackingMonitor and report on competitor activity and industry trends to identify opportunities for growth.Analyse and report on the performance of marketing activities to optimize future campaigns.Travel RequirementsThis role will require travel across the towns we serve to support events, sponsorships, and community engagement activities.Experience:Degree educated in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, Advertising, or a related field.2+ years of relevant marketing experience, ideally within communications, events, or content creation.Strong written English skills, with excellent grammar and proofreading ability.Experience managing multiple projects with competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment.Confident communicator with strong influencing skills to engage internal and external stakeholders.Highly organised with strong attention to detail and the ability to deliver high-quality work.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and familiar with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).Creative thinker with a proactive, can-do attitude and the ability to work independently.Comfortable working in a fast-changing environment with the ability to juggle multiple priorities.Enthusiastic about community engagement, events, and brand building.Willingness to travel locally for events and sponsorships.What you can expect from the interview process We believe that an interview should be a two-way process.
