The Role We are seeking an experienced Technical Manager to join our growing Building Information Team.This is an essential role to ensure we commission, evaluate and act on high quality technical advice from external professionals including fire engineers, architects, structural engineers, building surveyors and others. You will be a key technical lead interpreting complex information about existing buildings, buildings in development and buildings undergoing retrofit, refurbishment and regeneration and ensuring it informs building safety, asset decisions and maintains our building information standards. On a day to day basis you will: Lead the commissioning and quality assurance of technical reports from external consultants ensuring technical documentation meets regulatory requirements and industry best practice Provide expert advice to internal teams on safety, design, construction and remediation strategies, ensuring compliance with MTVHs building information standards and Building Safety Act requirements Support the development of building safety case requirements, building safety case reports and the maintenance of the Golden Thread of information. The Person A strong technical background in architecture, engineering or construction (e.g. chartered status with RIBA, CIAT, iStruct, ICE or similar) Demonstrable experience in commissioning and evaluating professional technical advice relating to a regulated, residential portfolio In depth and practical experience of building safety legislation including the Building Safety Act 2022 Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights MTVH conducts an annual review of salaries for colleagues.
