Were looking for a skilled and motivated Mechanical & Electrical Contracts Manager to join a newly formed Compliance service within the Housing, Neighbourhood and Building Services Directorate. This is a key role responsible for managing large-scale Term Service Contracts related to gas servicing, mechanical and electrical repairs, and compliance for both housing and corporate assets. Job Title: Mechanical & Electrical Contracts Manager Building Services Location: Portsmouth (with travel to sites in Portsmouth, Havant, Gosport and Fareham) Contract: Full time, 37 hours per week, 6 months Salary: 30 per hour PAYE Hours: 09:00 17:00, 37 hours per week What youll be doing: Managing gas servicing and repairs across 17,000 homes Overseeing M&E servicing and compliance for commercial and corporate buildings Leading a team and managing contractors to ensure high performance and value for money Ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and safety standards Developing policies, procedures, and strategies to support service delivery Contributing to procurement and contract management of major service contracts Supporting out-of-hours operations on a rota basis What were looking for: A relevant degree and ideally Chartered (or working towards) with RICS, CIBSE, or CIOB Strong knowledge of M&E compliance, regulations, and industry standards Proven experience in managing large service contracts (ideally NEC4) Experience of managing budgets, teams, and driving service improvement Confident in dealing with senior stakeholders and external partners A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle Call Albert at Carbon60 on 07734743454 or email your CV if interested.
