Job Title: Civils Director / Commercial ManagerLocation: Remote / In and around London Salary: Competitive + BenefitsType: Full-Time, PermanentRole OverviewWe are seeking a strategic and commercially astute Civils Director / Commercial Manager to oversee and drive the commercial performance of our clients civil engineering division. This dual-role position requires a balance of strong leadership, technical civil engineering knowledge, and a deep understanding of commercial operations within the construction industry.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the civils division, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and within budget.Develop and implement commercial strategies aligned with company goals and market opportunities.Oversee commercial functions including contract negotiation, risk management, cost control, and procurement.Provide strategic input and guidance on tenders, bids, and client engagement.Ensure compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and internal policies.Manage and mentor project managers, quantity surveyors, and site teams.Work closely with directors and senior management to shape company growth and performance.RequirementsProven experience in a senior-level role within civil engineering or construction.Strong commercial management background, ideally with experience handling large-scale infrastructure or groundwork projects.In-depth understanding of NEC and JCT contract forms.Excellent leadership, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Quantity Surveying.Chartered status (CEng, RICS, or similar) is desirable but not essential.Whats On OfferOpportunity to play a key leadership role in a growing company.Competitive salary and benefits package.Supportive and collaborative working environment.Clear path for career progression.
