Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry Location: Hertfordshire Salary: 80,000 per annum Hours: 37.5 per week Contract Type: Permanent - Full TimeMentus Recruitment is proud to be partnering with one of the UKs leading providers of Mental Healthcare and specialist support services. We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Specialty Doctor to join a well-established, psychiatric hospital in Hertfordshire. This facility offers a comprehensive range of services including high dependency rehabilitation, acute and psychiatric intensive care, medium and low secure services, and community-focused rehabilitation.Job Purpose As a Specialty Doctor in Psychiatry you will play a key role in delivering high-quality clinical care, supporting a multidisciplinary team and contributing to a person-centred recovery approach. Under the supervision of the Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be involved in patient assessments, treatment planning, and clinical documentation.Key Responsibilities Conduct psychiatric assessments and assist in determining appropriate levels of care Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to deliver the Care Programme Prepare clinical documentation including discharge summaries and CPA reports Participate in clinical governance, CPD activities, and supervision Provide medical cover and participate in the sites on-call rota Support the GP in delivering physical health care and emergency treatment Mentor new RMOs and provide cover during rest periodsQualifications & Skills MBBS or equivalent GMC registered and licensed to practice Good standing with the Royal College of Psychiatrists for CPD Recent appraisal or RITA Inpatient experience with individuals facing complex mental health issuesKey Attributes Excellent interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team Committed to upholding confidentiality and quality documentation standards Strong understanding of safeguarding protocols Resilient and adaptable to demanding working environmentsSafeguarding & Governance All staff are expected to understand their responsibilities in safeguarding vulnerable adults and children and comply with all relevant local and national guidelines.
