Health, Safety & Compliance CoordinatorLocation: KendalSalary: 28,000 - 30,000Job Type: Full-Time, PermanentHours: Monday - Friday, 9:00am 5:00pmAre you passionate about health and safety? Ready to advance your career?D7 Recruitment is working with a leading employer in the leisure and tourism sector to find a dedicated Health, Safety & Compliance Coordinator for their Kendal office. This is a fantastic opportunity for a health and safety professional looking to develop their career within a dynamic and growing business environment.As part of a collaborative team, you will be working closely with health and safety representatives across the business. This role provides the perfect platform to gain further expertise and progress into a management position.Key Responsibilities:Health & Safety Policy Support: Assist with implementing and improving health and safety policies and procedures across the business.Compliance Monitoring: Ensure the business complies with legal and industry standards.Incident Investigation: Investigate incidents and near-misses, carry out root cause analysis, and implement preventative measures.Training Delivery: Assist with health and safety training and promote a proactive safety culture across the organisation.Legislative Knowledge: Stay up to date with relevant legislation and ensure practices are compliant.Collaborative Working: Work with various business teams to embed health and safety best practices.What Were Looking For:Experience: health and safety-related role (preferably within property, retail, caravan parks, or visitor attractions).Qualifications:IOSH Managing Safely certificationA full UK driving licence.NEBOSH General Certificate Level 3 (or willingness to pursue this qualification).Skills & Competencies:Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations.Excellent problem-solving skills and risk assessment abilities.Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).Ability to work collaboratively across various teams.Desirable but not essential:Knowledge of ISO 45001 health and safety management systems.Familiarity with construction and maintenance safety, including CDM 2015.Project/Leadership experience or exposure to safety initiatives.Why Join This Employer?Career Development: A structured path to progress into a management role.Dynamic Environment: Exposure to various sectors within leisure and tourism.Supportive Team: Be part of a collaborative and growth-focused team culture.Benefits:Company PensionEmployee DiscountHealth & Wellbeing ProgrammeOn-site ParkingSick PayAPPLY NOW!
