Job Title

We have a current opportunity for an Electrical Engineer on a contract basis for a 6-12month project assignment with the possibility of extension upon successful completion of the project. The position will be based in East Kilbride with an engineering and construction company.Responsibilities:Design electrical systems to relevant IEC standardsPerform lighting calculations using relevant softwareDevelop electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and layout drawingsEnsure electrical designs meet safety codes and regulationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams including mechanical and instrumentation engineersProvision of technical support to the tendering and project teams.Review/approval of installation drawings and diagrams.Review/validation of vendor designs and documentation - mechanical packages and motors, (1kw to 3000kW).Integration with other staff to ensure the cost-effective development and execution of the complete project.Implementing and contributing to the development of processes and procedures to ensure that all contractual requirements are achieved safely and cost-effectively.Requirements:Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field5+ years of experience in electrical engineering, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing settingStrong knowledge of electrical codes, standards (IEC), and safety practicesProficiency with AutoCAD and other relevant design softwareExcellent problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and as part of a teamEffective communication skills, both written and verbalKnowledge of designing system in hazardous areasOur role in supportingdiversityandinclusion As an international workforce business, we are committed to sourcing personnel that reflects the diversity and values of our client base but also that of Orion Group.
