Job Description

A leading legal and professional services firm are looking for a fluent Mandarin and English-speaking Business Development Consultant to support their international business particularly with the Chinese international/state-owned organisation. The ideal candidate should have strong relationship management and business development skills. Job Title: MANDARIN Business Development Consultant Location: London Work style: Hybrid 3 days office Languages: Mandarin Chinese and English Essential Experience: Good understand of Chinese state-owned organisation working cultural Key Responsibilities:Account Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for Chinese clients, fostering long-term relationships and identifying opportunities for cross-selling specialist services. Consulting & Compliance: Provide in-depth support to clients, including explaining legal advice within compliance frameworks. Business Development: Generate new leads through networking, workshops, and collaboration with internal teams Marketing & Outreach: Translate marketing materials conduct client surveys and organize seminars for Chinese companies. Reporting: Maintain detailed client records, prepare weekly activity reports, and propose sales strategies to the Director of Chinese Services. Events & Proposals: Arrange client workshops, draft proposals, and manage budgets ethically and professionally. Requirements:Essential: Fluent in Mandarin and English (written/spoken). Degree-educated or equivalent; legal qualifications are a strong plus. Proven sales/account management experience, preferably in legal/professional services or B2B environments. Deep understanding of Chinese corporate culture and experience working with international/state-owned enterprises. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage senior executives (MD/Director level). Tech-savvy (Microsoft Office, CRM tools); ability to organize events and travel within the UK/Europe. Desirable: Background in legal services or consultancy. Experience with SRA compliance or similar regulatory frameworks.
