As Project Manager, you'll play a crucial role in delivering one of the largest BESS projects in the UK. We're looking for a dynamic individual with a strong project management background (4+ years) and a passion for renewable energy.Why This Role?Cutting-Edge Project: Take a lead role in one of the most exciting and advanced energy projects in the UK.Career Growth: This is a key appointment offering excellent long-term development opportunities.Innovative Environment: Work with a forward-thinking team dedicated to making a difference.Key Responsibilities:Project Management: Lead the end-to-end management of a very large renewable project, ensuring timely, budget, and high-quality delivery.Planning & Scheduling: Work closely with the Project Controls team to develop and manage detailed project schedules, pinpointing critical paths and key milestones.Stakeholder Management: Foster strong relationships with sub-contractor delivery partners, DNOs and regulatory bodies.Risk Management: Identify and mitigate potential project risks to ensure smooth project execution.Contract Management: Pre contract and post contract responsibility to oversee contract negotiations and management with suppliers and contractors.Technical Oversight: Working with the engineering team identify and mitigate design and technical risks.Budget Control: Monitor and report on project budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.Permitting & Compliance: Ensure all necessary permits and approvals are obtained and adhered to.Health, Safety & Environment (HSE): Implement and enforce top-tier safety protocols.Key Requirements:Qualifications: HNC or higher in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.Project Management Certification: APM, Prince2, or other recognized qualifications.Experience: 4-5 years+managing complex projects ideally within the power, renewable or utilities environmentProject Management Skills: Proven track record of delivering large-scale projects on time and within budget.Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.Software Proficiency: Proficient with project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) and engineering design tools.Benefits:Competitive Salary: Plus a performance-based bonus up to 30%.Professional Development: Opportunities for growth and advancement.Comprehensive Benefits: Health, pension, and 26 days of leave.Innovative Work Environment: Join a collaborative and forward-thinking team.
