Anglian Water are currently in the process of upgrading our aging SAP ERP system to the latest SAP ERP suite, S/4HANA. At the centre of this change is a major business transformation programme, leveraging capabilities in SAP to enhance how our business operates. This programme will be a significant undertaking, covering a significant scope across most of the business, spanning across AMP7 and into AMP8.The purpose of the role is to support the SAP Programme Director through the coordination and delivery of a large scale, complex programme of work to deliver multi-dimensional and cross-functional change related to the SAP transition activity required for AMP7/AMP8. The SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Solution Architect will play a pivotal role in Anglian Water's SAP S/4HANA transformation programme by ensuring the solution delivers robust Asset Management capabilities that drive operational efficiency, compliance, and business value. The role will focus on leading and coordinating the design and implementation of Asset Management functionalities within the S/4HANA solution, ensuring alignment with the organisation's asset-centric operational priorities. The Design Lead will work closely with internal teams, SI partner and stakeholders to ensure the solution meets regulatory and operational requirements while optimising asset lifecycle management. What will you be doing / Key Accountabilities:Lead the design of the Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) modules.Ensure seamless integration of Asset Management with other key SAP modules and 3rd party applications.Engage with key internal and external stakeholders to capture and validate requirements.Collaborate with Architects and Functional / Technical Leads (internal and external) to ensure the Asset Management design aligns with programme timelines and milestones.Ensure all design deliverables meet Anglian Water's regulatory compliance requirements.Support the identification and documentation of change impacts for Asset Management processes.Manage and develop a team of direct reports. Key Deliverables:Approved functional and technical design documentation for Asset Management processes.Fully validated integration points across SAP modules and third-party systems.Resolved design issues and effective risk mitigation plans.Comprehensive reporting (with project manager) on design progress, risks, and dependencies. Key Accountabilities:Lead the design stream for Asset Management, ensuring alignment with Anglian Water's operational strategies and SAP S/4HANA best practices.Establish and maintain robust design governance processes to ensure design integrity and consistency across workstreams.With the Functional Leads, present key design decisions for Asset Management and associated integrations to the Design Authority with options, pros and cons and a recommendation. Ensure that solution design adheres to core architecture principles. Act as a member of the Design Authority for Asset Management and associated integrations. Ensure all design deliverables meet Anglian Water's regulatory compliance requirements.Incorporate industry best practices into the design to optimise asset lifecycle management, reduce operational risks, and improve cost efficiency.Engage with key stakeholders, including asset managers, operations teams and regulatory bodies, to capture and validate requirements.Bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring a mutual understanding of design deliverables and expectations.Ensure the design is understood at all senior levels of AWS.Collaborate with Solution Architects, Functional / Technical Leads, Process Architects, Data Architects, Analytics Leads and external delivery partners to ensure the Asset Management design aligns with programme timelines and milestones.Support sprint planning, reviews, and retrospectives for Asset Management focused deliverables.Drive the design of SAP Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) modules, including asset planning, scheduling, execution, performance monitoring, and predictive maintenance.Recommend new Asset Management products and solutions that align with our SAP roadmap and business outcomes.Ensure seamless integration of Asset Management with other key SAP modules, including Finance, Project Systems, Supply Chain and Customer Service, including interim design elements while transitioning from ECC to S/4HANA.Support the 3rd Party Integration Lead to ensure seamless integration of Asset Management with 3rd party applications, e.g. work scheduling and GIS tools.Provide quality assurance for detailed solution design, build, test and deployment:Solution design documents: Business Process Design Documents (BPDD's), configuration documents, functional / technical specifications, batch jobs, etc.Solution build and test scenarios / scripts.Cutover planning.Oversee the creation and validation of WRICEFU (Workflow, Reports, Interfaces, Conversions, Enhancements, Forms, UI) objects and ensure they support end-to-end Asset Management processes. Support the principle of adopting standard functionality and keeping the core clean.
