This is a high-impact position where youll help define and embed best-in-class data governance practices across Risk and Finance functions.Youll work cross-functionally with key stakeholders to ensure data is reliable, well-governed, and ready to support operational resilience and strategic decision-making. If you're passionate about building data foundations that matter and shaping new ways of working, this is the perfect role for you.Key ResponsibilitiesLead data governance implementation in Risk and Finance aligned with BCBS239 requirementsDrive the development of data definitions, lineage, and governance for priority use casesMonitor business data requirements and coordinate changes through effective data release managementParticipate in data governance forums to improve the enterprise-wide data strategyCollaborate with business, compliance, and technology teams to ensure alignment on data initiativesInvestigate data quality issues, propose remediation, and implement solutions at sourceWork closely with senior stakeholders to communicate progress, risks, and challengesHelp foster a transparent and innovative data culture across the organisationAbout YouEssential Skills & Experience:In-depth expertise in data governance, data quality, metadata management, and profilingSolid understanding of BCBS239 in a Tier 1/Tier 2 banking contextProven ability to communicate effectively at senior and board levelsStrong grasp of risk and finance data structures, models, and reporting requirementsExperience with enterprise data management and regulatory complianceExcellent stakeholder management and influencing skillsAnalytical mindset with a focus on delivering sustainable solutionsProficiency in Excel, PowerPoint, Visio; familiarity with Collibra or similar toolsDegree educated or equivalent industry experience, preferably in a quantitative fieldDesirable:Experience with ECB onboardingExposure to Power BI, Tableau, SharePointFamiliarity with SQL, Python, R, and data engineering workflowsInsight into emerging trends in data management and regulatory requirementsPrevious work within regulated financial frameworksThe ChallengeData governance is still maturing within the organisation, so this role requires an individual with excellent communication skills, patience, and resilience.
