Legal Counsel International ProjectsLocation: LondonReports to: Regional General CounselSalary: Competitive + bonus + benefitsJob Type: Permanent, Full-timeExperience Level: 5-8 years PQE (flexible)Were working with a globally respected infrastructure consultancy, known for delivering transformative projects in more than 50 countries. This is a rare opportunity for a UK-qualified solicitor to join a dynamic in-house legal team with a focus on international development and infrastructure projects across the Middle East, South Asia, Africa, and other emerging markets.This role would suit a mid-level lawyer whos looking to broaden their scope, apply their skills in a high-impact setting, and be part of a team where your advice helps shape projects that improve lives globally. Youll be joining a values-led, employee-owned business with a collaborative, inclusive culture and a strong commitment to flexible working.Key ResponsibilitiesProvide legal advice on major consultancy and infrastructure projects, with a strong emphasis on cross-border workDraft, review and negotiate a range of construction, consultancy, and commercial agreementsPartner closely with regional commercial, technical, and project delivery teams to manage legal riskAdvise on claims, disputes, and insurance issues - including managing external counselSupport regional legal strategy and internal governance processesEngage with a wide range of legal areas, including contract law, construction law, corporate law, and regulatory complianceContribute to legal templates, policies, and internal guidance materialsCollaborate on strategic legal initiatives and provide training to business teamsKey RequirementsUK-qualified solicitor with 5-8 years PQE (open to flexibility depending on experience)Strong grounding in construction or commercial law, ideally with some in-house or consultancy-side experienceComfortable advising across multiple jurisdictions, especially civil law systemsConfident communicator with strong drafting and stakeholder management skillsAble to work independently and thrive in a multi-disciplinary, international environmentExposure to development bank-funded projects (e.g. World Bank, EBRD, AfDB) is highly desirableWhat's in it for you?Contribute to international projects that deliver long-term, sustainable outcomesJoin a values-led, employee-owned business with a flat structure and collaborative cultureHybrid working, generous annual leave, and enhanced parental and wellbeing policiesCompetitive salary and annual bonus, with access to share schemes and private healthcareSupportive environment with genuine career development opportunities and global exposureFor a quick chat about the role, you can click Quick Apply or reach out to Sam Gadsdon directly.
