Job Title: Practice Development Officer (Childrens Social Care) Non-Case Holding RoleLocation: Liverpool (Hybrid minimum 3 days on site per week) Contract: 3-month minimum placement Rate: 42 per hour (Ltd company status)About the Role:We are seeking an experienced and registered Childrens Social Worker to join our Workforce Development Team in a non-case holding role. This position plays a key part in supporting and mentoring our learners, while driving forward high standards of practice across the service.You will bring a solid background as a Practice Development Officer, with specific expertise in designing, developing, and leading the Assessed and Supported Year in Employment (ASYE) programme.Key Responsibilities:Lead and manage the delivery of the ASYE programme, providing support and mentorship to newly qualified social workers.Design, develop, and implement robust learner programmes that support the Continuous Professional Development (CPD) of our social care workforce, including Apprenticeships and Step-Up to Social Work schemes.Act as a Practice Educator, supervising and mentoring both learners and fellow educators.Deliver high-quality, comprehensive training sessions, underpinned by expert knowledge of:Childrens legislationCase managementPolicies and proceduresNational and local practice frameworksChampion good practice across the organisation and contribute to the work of the Quality Assurance Service, including the completion of audits and service reviews.Essential Criteria:Registered Childrens Social Worker (Social Work England)Prior experience as a Practice Development OfficerQualified Practice EducatorProven experience in supervising, mentoring, and supporting the professional development of social workersIn-depth understanding of childrens social care legislation and statutory responsibilitiesConfident in delivering training and professional development programmesAbility to work flexibly on site (minimum 3 days per week) must live locally within the Liverpool areaWhy Join Us?This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the development of our social care workforce and promote excellence in practice across childrens services.
