Taylor Woodrow, a leading infrastructure and civil engineering contractor, is seeking a motivated and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team supporting a long-term framework with National Highways. This is a great opportunity to work across a variety of key infrastructure schemes, contributing to projects from Early Contractor Involvement (ECI) through to delivery and close-out.About the Role:As a Quantity Surveyor, you will take a commercial lead across multiple live projects (typically up to 1 million in value), ensuring commercial governance, effective cost control, and value delivery. Youll work closely with operational and design teams to manage budgets, assess risk, and maintain a strong commercial position throughout the project lifecycle.This role also provides an opportunity to contribute to the ECI phasehelping to shape contract strategies, procurement routes, and pricing models.Key Responsibilities:Manage all commercial aspects of assigned projects, including cost planning, forecasting, and budget controlAdminister subcontracts, including procurement, valuations, payments, and change managementLiaise with clients, supply chain, and internal teams to ensure commercial alignment and accurate reportingMonitor project risks and support mitigation planning from a commercial standpointPrepare and review monthly cost reports, CVRs, and applications for paymentContribute to tender and pricing submissions during ECI and pre-construction phasesEnsure compliance with contract terms and commercial best practicesWhat Were Looking For:Proven experience in a Quantity Surveyor role within civil engineering or highways projectsStrong knowledge of NEC contracts (particularly NEC3/NEC4)Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skillsAbility to manage multiple small to mid-sized projects simultaneouslyStrong interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skillsIdeally degree qualified in Quantity Surveying or a related field, or equivalent experience
