Location: Ashington, NorthumberlandSalary: Competitive based on experienceJob type: Full-timeWorking hours: 7am - 4:30pm Mon-FriOvertime: Required as needed to support business demandVehicle: Van provided for call-outsThe company3C Services is a North East-based concrete supplier and highways contractor, operating nationwide across the UK.With a growing fleet of volumetric concrete mixers, vacuum excavators, grab wagons, plant equipment, Hiab vehicles and haulage trucks, were looking to add an experienced HGV technician/plant fitter to our growing team.The roleBased primarily in our Ashington workshop, you will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our fleet of wagons and plant machinery.This is a hands-on role suited to someone with a strong mechanical background, ideally with experience working on both commercial vehicles and plant machinery. While most work will take place on site, a company van is provided for off-site repairs and emergency call-outs when required.Key duties will include:Carrying out safety inspections on HGVs and plant equipmentPerforming routine servicing, maintenance and mechanical repairsDiagnosing and fixing mechanical and electrical faultsPreparing vehicles and machinery for MOT testsResponding to breakdowns and emergency callouts when requiredKeeping accurate maintenance records and ensuring compliance with health and safety standardsWorking overtime when necessary to meet operational demandsRequirements of the roleProven experience as an HGV technician, plant fitter or similarStrong knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systemsFull UK driving licenceGood problem-solving skills and attention to detailFlexible and reliable approach to workBenefits:Competitive salary (negotiable based on experience)20 days holiday, plus bank holidaysCompany van for calloutsA friendly team - daily laughs guaranteedIf youre an experienced fitter looking for a new challenge with a local, growing business, wed love to hear from you.To apply, please send your CV to info@3cservicesltd.co.uk
