Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role is centric around taking a lead on planning, review and developing efficient and effective timetables and schedules, that meet the requirements of the franchise and meet service delivery requirements, taking into account safety, reliability, acceptability and cost. To liaise and negotiate with Depot Management Teams, Depot Trades Union concerning the implementation of the timetables and schedules. Main Responsibilities Timetable and Schedules Ownership Strategic Efficiency and Continuous Improvement Regulatory Compliance and Industry Standards Technology and Systems Management Stakeholder Engagement and Leadership Provide coverage for other Schedulers in cases of absence, ensuring seamless service deliveryEssential Criteria Experience of using computer-based scheduling software. Understanding of financial and costing procedures. Knowledge of the Domestic Driving Hours Regulations. Desirable Criteria Comprehensive geographical knowledge of Greater Manchester, especially Metrolines operating area and depot locations (desirable). An understanding/appreciation of the franchise environments requirements, contractual procedures and obligations and the management of day-to-day operational issues. Experience of Hastus Scheduling software (desirable). Hours of Work Basic 38 hours per week. Flexibility required for hours/days worked (including weekends) in line with operational requirements.
